Northamptonshire People First is working with the local Mencap District Committee to find volunteers to support district committee members who have learning difficulties including the Vice-Chairperson.

The Northamptonshire Mencap District Committee is the local membership's voice in the running of Mencap in Northamptonshire. The responsibilities of the District Committee are campaigning, support to local groups, feeding issues onto the national mencap agenda and to generally be a voice for Mencap in the county.

Volunteers are needed to support people with transport to and from meetings, understanding agendas, preparing for meetings and to support people to take part in meetings.

Volunteers need to be able to give approximately 3 hours per month.
