It is open to anyone interested in research with people with learning difficulties on the issues of:

1. being members of our society;
2. speaking up;
3. taking control of our lives and our organisations;
4. using the power we have, as people with learning difficulties, to influence the world.
5. the barriers we face as people with learning difficulties.

It is encouraged that this research should be done by, or in partnership, with people with learning difficulties.

We are setting up the mailing list in partnership with the the Empowerment and Citizenship Special Interest Research Group of the International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual Disability.
